Web if the fuel pump works correctly, the incoming fuel will cool it. Now, i did not use polaris parts on this just. If you read my first post on this. Web i opened the fuel cap and did not hear the whoosh sound either, nor did either move make the pump quit cavitating. If it is running hot, that means it is not moving fuel through itself.
